这是一部以二战为背景的影片，男主角是一个记者而女主角则是在政府审查部门工作，从职业角度看男女主角无疑是死对头。这两个人在西班牙一个叫格尔尼卡的地方相遇。。此片根据CAPCOM的著名动作射击游戏《丧尸围城》改编，故事发生在一个叫Megadome的城镇上，一种新型丧尸病毒袭击了这个地方，普通的病毒抑制剂“僵立停”无法对付这种病毒。新闻记者Chase Carter和他的摄影师Jordan在检疫站采访时遭到了丧尸的袭击，Jordan一个人开车跑了，而Chase则和两名女幸存者准备逃出城镇。很快他们便发现，他们不但要对付丧尸的威胁，还必须面对心狠手辣的Logan和他手下的飞车党成员……。everyone wants to know who the Mexican is.
